Must See Vancouver

Bike Tour Between Flights

In town for a quick layover? Have a few hours to spend before your next flight? Looking to see as much of the city as possible in a short amount of time? A Vancouver bike tour is the perfect excursion to maximize your sightseeing, get some quick exercise and learn about the local history and culture.

From the airport, grab the Canada Line to Yaletown Station. Head up the escalator to street level and exit onto Davie Street. Walk 300 feet west to the #6 Davie bus stop and catch the next #6 heading west. Exit the bus at Denman Street and walk across the street to English Bay Bike Rentals at 1754 Davie Street. The total trip from the airport should take approximately 30-40 minutes.

At English Bay Bike Rentals you can rent a bike and do a quick lap of the city or, for a richer experience, talk to the staff about joining the next available Vancouver bike tour. Tours leave at 9:30AM and 2:00PM. You can check availability and secure your seat at Vancouver Bike Tours’ website.

Tour Experience

Each tour is roughly 18km, with minimal elevation gain and plenty of stops along the way. The morning Vancouver bike tour features Stanley Park and the west side of Downtown Vancouver. Neighbourhoods contained in this tour include the Davie Street Village, Mole Hill, Robson Square, the Convention Area, False Creek and the Vancouver Seawall. The last half of the tour focuses firmly on Stanley Park. Guests are taken to Totem Park, Lost Lagoon, the Lions Gate Bridge and Beaver Lake.

The afternoon tour heads east, to the older neighbourhoods in the city. Riders visit Yaletown, Gastown, Chinatown, Strathcona and Olympic Village, before arriving at Granville Island. On the island, guests are given 10-15 minutes to explore the world famous Granville Island Public Market. A quick ferry ride across False Creek is included in this tour.
